Now that you have chosen your new cabinets, it is time to pick a color for your countertops. If you have chosen a kitchen with grey cabinets, you will have a range of different counters to choose from.Grey cabinets go with attractive tiles in bright colors such as aqua or red. You could also install a marble or granite counter top, which will create an attractive, monochromatic look to your kitchen, with the grey in your cabinets repeated in the veins or patterns in the stone.Alternatively, if you are looking for an industrial finish, steel or zinc countertops are a great choice.
Wood Veneer Cabinets:If your cabinets have a wood veneer—essentially a very thin layer of real hardwood over a pressed material—you will also need to sand before painting your kitchen cabinets. But before you break out the sandpaper or paint, carefully inspect the veneer for loose edges, chips, or cracks. Repair these first with wood glue before sanding the veneered surface.
Let the paint dry for about two hours. Dip the paintbrush in the paint can and manually paint the areas that the roller could not reach. Avoid drips by minimally applying the paint and by re-brushing. Areas that were painted more than a few minutes ago will likely already be filming over. So, confine your re-brushing to areas that were only recently painted.Apply Additional Coats Paint colors deepen and reach their full potential by being applied in two or even three coats. At a minimum, let the paint dry for at least a couple of hours, then re-roll and re-brush the paint one more time.
The decision whether the kitchen room looks lower or bigger will be one of the two techniques for you to make a decision on how you want the kitchen. Light colors make the kitchen look larger, and a facade to reduce the kitchen space gives the dark colors. Decreasing kitchen area will make the kitchen more comfortable. The correct color must be chosen to harmonize with other decorations at home.
